Enhanced Move (Land) 1
Centaur are capable of running at a very high speed over the open planes of their homelands. Enhanced Move doesn't change your Base Speed, however it gives you the option of increasing how fast you're moving up to double your base move. To move at speeds in excess of your base Speed you must move at your base Speed for one round before accelerating past that. When moving at speeds above your base speed movement has more rules for handling, changing direction, and slowing down.
Go here for a more in-depth look at how High Speed Movement works.
Equine Half (Hooves, Strikers, and Horizonal)
The length of the centaurs lower half (2 yards long) can cause problems navigating environments not designed for them. You have 4 legs instead of 2, so if one leg is wounded you can still walk at -1/2 speed. Additionally you receive a +1 bonus to resist being knocked down or tripped, and when calculating knockback the character’s Strength (ST) is considered 1 point higher.
A centaurs feet are hooved which gives them +1 Damage Resistance against attacks that target their feet, and attacking with a centaurs hooves depends on how you go about it:
Firstly the horizontal nature of a centaurs lower half makes it difficult to put their weight behind their front legs properly, but thanks to the hard nature of their hooves the bonuses and penalties negate and they end up just being a normal brawling attack.
A centaur may spend a Ready Action to rear up, adding their weight to the attack and increasing their Thrusting damage by +1 per die of damage.
Any attack with a Centaur's back leg can only target enemies directly behind them but inflicts Thrusting at +1 damage per die of Crushing damage.
You cannot Parry with a Centaur's hooves.
Horse Power (Lifting ST +5 (Lower Body Only), Striking ST +3 (Kicks Only))
The incredible Strength of a Centaur's equine half is represented by a +5 to the Carrying and Hauling Strength of their body, making the Base Lift of their lower half 51, while the Base Lift of their arms is only 24. They also receive a +3 to their Strength when calculating the Thrusting Damage of their kicks.
Fur & Temperature Tolerance 1
More than half of a Centaur's body is covered in a fine layer of hair. This hair protects from the sun and provides a small amount of insulation.
Every character has a temperature “comfort zone” within which he suffers no ill effects (such as FP or HP loss) due to heat or cold. For ordinary humans, this zone is 55° wide and falls between 35° and 90°. For Centaur this zone is expanded, lowing the cold end of the spectrum by HT. Temperature Tolerance confers no special resistance to attacks by fire or ice unless the only damage is a result of a rise or fall in the ambient temperature. In particular, it cannot help you if your body temperature is being manipulated.
Human Half
Centaur have a +1 size modifier due to their size and length but their upper bodies have proportions in line with your average human. When targeting locations on their upper body treat them as though their Size modifier was 0
Overconfident and Prideful
Centaur are a proud people. Hearty and fast they pride themselves on their physical prowess and might have a tendency to exaggerate their abilities. You receive +2 on all reaction rolls from young or naive individuals (who believe you are as good as you say you are), but -2 on reactions from experienced NPCs (who can better judge your capabilities). They can be boastful, but don't respond well to push-back against their boasting, mockery of their abilities, and any form of disrespect. Make a Self Control roll at 12, to resist reacting to provocations or challenges to your competence or prowess.
Claustrophobic
Centaur are a people who love the open planes, a broad sky, and wide open spaces. While not crippling, they have a strong preference for places that don't make them feel cramped of closed in. Buildings with tight hallways, sharp corners, cramped furniture, and stairways, tend to give them that electric feeling of anxiety in their chests.
