Acute Senses (Hearing) +2 and Acute Senses (Sight) +2
Your sensesof hearing and sight are much more powerful than that of a human. You gain +2 on all sense rolls involving your senses of hearing or sight.
Appearance: Attractive
Elves have a natural ethereal beauty about them. They are, as a race, more lithe than other races, leading to an appearance of grace and beauty. This gives +1 on reaction rolls.
Lifespan (Extended Lifespan 2, Quick Maturation, Longevity)
The combination of Extended Lifespan drastically increasing the range of the age categories and the Quick Maturation perk halving the age of adulthood makes it so the average life cycle of an elf is defined as physical maturity at age 36, with aging effects starting at age 200 and accelerating at ages 280 and 360. However, you fail aging rolls only on a 17 or 18 – or only on an 18, if your modified HT is 17 or better!
Magery 0
This is basic “magical awareness,” a prerequisite for learning magic. The GM makes a Sense roll when you first see a magic item, and again when you first touch it. On a success, you intuitively know that the item is magical. A roll of 3 or 4 also tells you whether the magic is helpful or dangerous, and about how strong it is. Those without Magery do not get this roll!
Night Vision 5
Your keen eyes are able to pick out details even in the dark, you can ignore up the penalties to vision related checks up to -5.
Perfect Balance
You can always keep your footing, no matter how narrow the walking surface, under normal conditions. This lets you walk along a tightrope, ledge, tree limb, or other anchored surface without having to make a die roll. If the surface is wet, slippery, or unstable, you get +6 on all rolls to keep your feet. In combat, you get +4 to DX and DX-based skill rolls to keep your feet or avoid being knocked down. Finally, you get +1 to Acrobatics, Climbing, and Piloting skills.
Resistance (Mind Control)
When any source, weather creature, wizard, or artifact, would attempt to manipulate your mind using magic you gain a +3 bonus on your Will roll to resist the effect.
Telescopic Vision 1
You can “zoom in” with your eyes as if using binoculars. You ignore -1 in range penalties to Vision rolls at all times, or -2 in range penalties if you take an Aim maneuver to zoom in on a particular target. This ability can also function as a telescopic sight, giving up to +1 Accuracy per level with ranged attacks provided you take an Aim maneuver for at least 1 second.
The benefits of this trait are not cumulative with those of technological aids such as binoculars or scopes.
Voice
You have a naturally clear, resonant, and attractive voice.
This gives you +2 with the following skills: Diplomacy, Fast-Talk, Mimicry, Performance, Politics, Public Speaking, Sex Appeal, and Singing.
You also get +2 on any reaction roll made by someone who can hear your voice.
Natural Affinity
Elves have a preference for existing in spaces that incorporate elements of the natural world at the bare minimum, and they have likely spent a good deal of their lives living close to nature in their home environment. They gain a +1 on rolls to interact with nature in their natural environment, typically forest. Specifically this includes Survival rolls made in or about the forest, and rolls to interact with wild animals normally found in their native environments.
Intolerance
This disadvantage is related to the Elven belief that they are superior in many ways to the shorter lived races. It can be portrayed as the Elf being arrogant or dismissive of the opinions and ideas of others, or it can make them paternalistic, viewing others like children. This can lead to various forms of mild racism on the part of the Elves, especially those who rarely leave their own cities.
Victims of your Intolerance will react to you at -1 to -5 (GM’s decision).
Elves as a whole are only mildly intolerant, though some are obviously worse than others. You react at -1 toward anyone not of your own species, this down grades any reaction on the Reaction Table by one step.
Sense of Duty (Nature)
Elves feel a strong sense of stewardship toward nature, and those natural creatures the live in the wild places of t he world.
You will never betray them, abandon them when they’re in trouble, or let them suffer or go hungry if you are able to help.
Elves are known to have a Sense of Duty towards nature, and gain a+2 when rolling to see whether wild animals and denizens of the natural world trust you in a dangerous situation.
Skinny
You have approximately 2/3 the average weight for your ST. This gives you -2 to ST when you resist knockback. When you're not in an area with a significant Elven population you get -2 to Disguise or to Shadowing, if you are trying to follow someone in a crowd. Your HT may not be above 14.
Slow Healing 1
Metabolically, Elves do every thing just a little slower, as a result it can take them longer to heal. Roll against your HT to recover HP once ever 2 days instead of every day. As a result many Elven civilizations rely on their natural affinity for magic to provide alternate forms of healing.
The following are Elven Subraces, the templates modify the core Elven template above.
The standard Elf detailed above, High Elves are the more social of the Elven races, living in forest cities and trading with outsiders where appropriate.
+20 Points
Nomadic Elves of the deep woods, the Sylvan Elves live closest to nature of all Elves. Preferring oral traditions of passing knowledge, druidic styles of magic, and a more wild, fierce combat form.
Sylvan Elves are Stronger than other Elves, and seem to have a supernatural ability to remain quiet in natural forest environments.

More Fey than other Elves the Elorian Elves have a deeper connection with magic and it shows in the hue of their skin and eyes (which is typically in line with colors one might find in a rainbow). Elorian Elves are among the most rare and reclusive of the Elven races, secluding themselves in enclaves deep in untamed lands.
